Why do Muslims Celebrate Eid ul Azha?
Eid ul Azha is also called the greater Eid and this festival which occurs on the 10th of Zill Hajj and lasts for three days. The joyous festival honors The Prophet Ibrahim AS, when he was ready to willingly sacrifice his son Ismail AS following the orders of Allah SWT. In replacement for his son Allah SWT gave him a ram before he could have sacrifice his son, and thus today Muslims all around the world slaughter animals at this occasion.
